DC Correctional Treatment Facility (DC Jail) = 3,700 books
DC Jail was constructing libraries on two floors of the facility.  Books for America is pleased to have donated a total of 7,700 fiction novels since 2002 and a variety of self-help, religious and other non-fiction topics. A picture says 1,000 words, I wish you could see the faces of our inmate population light up.  I cannot express what your contribution has done for our facility - Shameka Bivens, Librarian.

Meridian Public Charter School = 2,030 books
Books for America supplied 2,030 children's books to help build Meridian's reading library.

Mary's Center for Maternal and Child Care
 = 3,881 books
